While there are a number of good restaurants in the North Atlanta area, one that stands out is:
Joey D’s Oak Room
1015 Crown Pointe Pkwy
Atlanta, GA 30338
(770) 512-7064
There are a couple of things that stand out at Joey D’s. First, the atmoshpere stands out with a raised wood floor near big windows, low lighting, cloth table covers and napkins and low lighting. The kitchen is open and some tables have a nice view of the action as the meals are prepared.
The second thing that stands out is the food quality. Fresh ingrediants from appetisers to salads to the entree’s make the experience very satisfying. The house salad is the type you would want to make at home — not skimpy in either portion or ingrediaants (think bacon bits, cheese and fresh diced tomatoes — to name a few). The dinner salad is served with a not-to-be-missed honey butter crossanit. I tried to avoid eating this, but I found myself picking at it until it was gone!
Joey’D's bills itself as a steak and seafood restuarant and so the menu is loaded with both steak, ribs, chicken and seafood fare. Take your pick. You can’t go wrong.
Finally, the bar stands in front of a “wall of liquor” complete with a library type ladder to reach those near the ceiling.
Roger’s Tip: If dining solo, ask to sit at the bar and order a drink from the “top shelf” of the wall of liquor.
