Can’t decide between Hilton’s Tapatio Cliffs or Squaw Peak Resort in Phoenix? Let me help you decide.

The answer is simple. If you are traveling with kids, then Squaw Peak Resort should be your destination. If you are a single traveler or a couple looking for a romantic get-a-way, then Tapatio Cliffs should be your bungalow.
While the rooms at both of these Hilton Resorts are nearly identical, you will find that Squaw Peak seems to attract a lot of families. This is in part due to their “Hole-in-the-Wall River Ranch” which features a lazy river, water slide and other amenities.
In contrast, Tapatio Cliffs is spread out over a cliff and features several pools including a “hidden pool” for those late night dips with your sweat-heart. In addition, at the top of the resort is the “Different Pointe of View” restaurant with spectacular views of the city. If you are celebrating an anniversary or other occasion, don’t miss the opportunity to take in the views from the restaurant.
While this establishment doesn’t get a lot of high marks, I think it’s worth a try given that I’ve not found much to brag about when it comes to Phoenix area dining.

What makes this worth a look is the wings and I’m a big wing connoisseur. While I was there, I tried most of the wing combinations and after a recommendation from my server, I found that the Honey Hot wings are a reason that I would return.
Roger’s Tip: Stop here on either your way to Cabella’s or after an Arizona Cardinals Game.
