If you’ve never tried chitlins (or don’t know what they are, and if you don’t know, don’t ask until you’ve at least tried them), then you’ve got to head down to:

This is it BBQ and Seafood
3523 Camp Creek Parkway
Atlanta, GA 30344
(404) 629-1114

There are two things that make this place excellent. First, the service staff. I had never tried chitlins and the gentleman working behind the counter not only provided me with a sample, but also suggested that I douse them with hot sauce. I ordered a side order of chiltlins and must say that the hot sauce really brought out an excellent flavor to the dish.

Second, the food and the portions are excellent. That’s right, they don’t skimp on the sides. Sides like sweet potato soufflé which is melt in your mouth good. But, that’s not all, you’ll find greens, potato salad, cooked cabbage and traditional BBQ dishes like baked beans and mac ‘n cheese.

Yes, you could go there just for the sides, but you’ll want to try their chicken covered in mushroom gravy, or any of their ribs (beef, pork or rib tips). Can’t decide? Try the BBQ bowl which consists of Shredded Pork, Sausage, rib tips and Fries smothered in BBQ Sauce.

One things for sure. You won’t leave this place with anything but a smile on your face.

Roger’s Tip: Try mixing both the mild and the spicy BBQ on your BBQ dish for the perfect taste. Just ask for them to mix it or get two side dishes of each sauce.
