You can’t visit Minneapolis without spending at least one evening at Brit’s Pub.
1110 Nicollet Ave
Minneapolis, MN 55403
(612) 332-3908
As the name suggests, Brit’s is a British style pub with plenty of British beer selections to include Old Speckled Hen, Fuller’s ESB, Harp, Guiness and some familiar beers from some of former British territories to include Tiger Beer (Singapore).
Although the food is usually acceptable (in other words, your milage may vary), expect the place to be packed
with young professionals as people come here for the atmosphere. To fully experience this place, walk past the hostess station and up the stairs to the patio level. There you will find the lawn bowling court which will no doubt be filled with local league teams. Find a seat where you can watch the locals (on the lawn or off), order a beer and relax.
If you are hungry and are looking for a good dinner, pick another place or another night to visit Brit’s, but if you are looking for a fun place to enjoy in Minneapolis, don’t leave without visiting Brit’s.

Once upon a time there was a little boy named John Soranno [who loved Napoli Pizza].
I grew up making pizza as I worked in a pizza parlor for many years before heading off to college where — yes, I worked in a pizza parlor to pay for my books and my meals. So, I know a little something about pizza.
If you’ve never had authentic Neapolitan pizza, then you really need to try the distinctive flavors of this local favorite. You won’t find this place mentioned on the Travel Channel or mentioned by Rachel Ray, but if you are a traveler who loves the best that each place has to offer, then this is the place for you the next time you are in Minneapolis or St. Paul:
Punch Pizza
210 East Hennepin Avenue
Minneapolis, MN 55414
A lot of places these days are serving pizza as just another menu offering or that is cheap and really doesn’t have much flavor. Not the case with Punch Pizza. This place prides itself in serving only the finest pizza made from the best ingredients.
Don’t be put off by the building or the atmosphere at Punch Pizza. Some of the locations are simple and don’t have much to offer in terms of decor. But, once you walk in the door and see or smell the wood burning pizza ovens and look around at the clean plates of the patrons who got there early, you will at least want to try this authentic Italian pizza.
