If you had to pick one restaurant in Bismarck, North Dakota to visit with the whole family, it would have to be:
Space Aliens Bar and Grill
304 E Century Avenue
Bismarck, ND
701-223-6220
Dining at most themed restaurants is either about the experience, the atmosphere or the food. But, at Space Aliens, you get great food, an out of this world atmosphere and an experience that you will remember and tell your friends about (much like I’m doing here).
The inside of the restaurant is shaped like the inside of a flying saucer (the atmosphere) with lots of interesting things on he walls and ceiling to catch your eyes. The restaurant also serves special “Alien” drinks for young and old alike in a souvenir glasses. Add that to the game room or the sports bar with several big screens and you have the start of a great experience.
Although Space Aliens has a variety of menu items that include appetisers (Outer Space Onion™ Blossom, Martian Munchies™ , and Wings from Planet X™ Sampler), burgers (Alien Burger™ and Planet of the Zombies® Taco Burger), the reason I would go there for dinner would be for their outstanding Ribs. Not only are their ribs slow smoked using apple and hickory woods, but you can taste that smokey flavor in these tender ribs. Get the ribs as they are served with garlic toast and your choice of honey-baked beans, Cosmic Coleslaw™, cottage cheese or cheesy garlic vegetables and your choice of baked potato, Outer Space Fries™ with two dipping sauces (Ranch Dressing, BBQ, Cajun Ranch, Nacho Cheese, ketchup, Sweet-N-Sassy, and several more).
Roger’s Tip: If you love ribs, visit Space Aliens on a Wednesday night when the ribs are “all you can eat” for a very special price.
