We recently took our first cruise on Carnival Cruise Lines and our destination was a 5 day Western Caribbean cruise departing out of Mobile, AL. We had previously sailed on both Disney Cruise Lines and had taken a 7 day cruise along the coast of Norway.
So, how did this cruise compare? While the Disney Cruise felt more family oriented, this cruise was perfect for our group of travelers as we were celebrating a wedding and everyone in our party was 20 years old or older.
Feel free to contact me with specific questions regarding this cruise, but here is how we would rate this cruise.
Food: Good
Entertainment: Okay
Destinations: Excellent
Departure port: Very Good
Would we do this again: Yes

I’ve been in the market for a new digital camera for about 6 months or so. I was all set to buy the Canon S3IS when I found out about the Olympus SP-550UZ which has an 18x optical zoom. That discovery stopped me dead in my purchasing tracks as I did some additional research before making my buying decision.
As a little background, my previous camera was the Olympus C-4040 which has been nothing but spectacular and so I was looking for everything the C-4040 had to offer – but with more zoom (the 4040 only as a 3x optical zoom).
I did a lot of research and then made my decision…
I really enjoyed using the Olympus SP-550UZ, even though I’ve only had it for about two weeks. One of the first things that you’ll notice about this camera is the rubberized grips that make this camera comfortable as well as easy to hold.
After you get the feel of this camera, the first thing that you will try out is the 18x optical zoom. My first shots were of Pikes Peak. I zoomed all the way out and took several shots. Guess what! The dual image stabilization system works great. I was able to take these shots without any noticeable blurring of the picture.
The bottom line here is that I’m not only very excited about my purchase, but so far I’m also very pleased with the functionality that I have utilized.
