If you’ve visted “5 Guys Burgers and Fries” then my favorite counter burger joint might not seem all that different to you.   But, if you’re in Austin you’ll have to pay Mighty Fine Burgers  a visit as they are unique to Austin and they are a tad bit more fun than those other guys.

The menu is pretty simple.   Hamburgers.   Everything else is just details (cheese, bacon, ketchup, etc).   But, what makes Mighty Fine Burgers my favorite is the quality and the freshness of everything from the vegtables to the ground chuck.   Mighty Fine Burgers grinds their meat onsite everyday and it’s likely that you will see this for yourself as their preparation area is a stage where you can see them slice the fries, cut the tomatoes and create the beef patties.  You can’t get much fresher than that.   Add in that this place is the DisneyWorld of burgers (they pride themselves on cleanliness) and you’ve got something that you won’t find any place else.

Juicy, fresh tasting burgers would be enough to keep me coming back, but add a chocolate or a vanillia shake to your order and you’ve got something special.   Mighty Fine Burger’s shakes are made from Blue Bell ice cream and if you’ve never had a shake using that receipe then you’ve never had a great shake.

The locations are in nice areas and the stores are large with ample parking.  Service is generally fairly quick and the staff has always been friendly and helpful.  Don’t be surprised if the person who takes your order asks something similar to “How’s your day so far?”   To which you should respond:  “Mighty Fine!”  — especially after your visit to:

Mighty Fine Burgers
Arborwalk
10515 N. MoPac Expy, Suite 205
Austin, Texas 78759

Roger’s Tip:

  1. If this is your first visit, make a point to visit the restroom before you leave.
  2. Skip the fries or at best share 1 fry  for every 2 or 3 people in your party.
